Visznitzer case over Shul in Williamsburg settled; sort of
After months of intense fighting between the two sons of the R' Moishele Visznitzer from Israel over the Shul in Williamsburg, the case was brought before Supreme Court Justice David I. Schmidt, a heimishe Judge from Flatbush. The proceedings went unusually smoothly and both sides are slowly coming to an agreement. A lawyer present who had also been at the recent Satmar trial exclaimed, "Had Justice Schmidt been at our trial with Satmar, there would have been peace already". The case hopefully will be settled in the near future.

Stolen vehicle recovered after armed robbery
The Plymouth Voyager mini-van that had been stolen over six weeks ago from a Boro-Park man was recovered by Police in Queens. The vehicle was invovled in an armed robbery and two suspects were arrested. The District Attorney's office is holding onto the vehicle as evidence in the robbery case until Tuesday. I hope they don't impound the owner of the vehicle as evidence.
