Yeshiva Elementary School in Milwaukee hit by bullet Friday morning

Around 8:30 AM Friday morning a staff member at Yeshiva Elementary School, located on Keefe Avenue in Milwaukee, heard a bullet's impact with the front glass door.

According to police, the bullet broke the glass on the front door but did not enter the school. Police believe the bullet to be a stray round fired in the area.

Police are investigating the shooting and are working with the school and neighborhood to locate witnesses and find the suspect or suspects.

The shooting is being taken seriously due to the safety of the students and because of recent threats against JCC's all over the country including some at the JCC in Whitefish Bay.

School was not dismissed.
