Baby left in hot car in Lakewood perishes
A seven-month-old boy named Chaim was accidentally left inside a vehicle for several hours yesterday. The infant's father, 25-year-old Aryeh Katzman, has been charged with second-degree child endangerment and was released after posting $100,000 bail. The child's father apparently forgot about the child, thinking he had already dropped him off at the baby sitter's house before Kollel, until later in the day when returning to the car after Kollel he discovered the child dead in the car.
