Jewsweek just got more Jewcy

Three years ago I recognized the potential in the fledging Jewsweek website and, after adding a hefty dose of design and technology, my Israeli web team has worked with editor Benyamin Cohen and publishing industry veteran Fred Rapaport to create one of the top Jewish online magazines.

Benyamin is now moving on to the cushier offices of Atlanta Jewish Life, and we wish him all the best in his new endeavors and thank him from the bottom of our kishkes for his yo'man contributions to building the publication.

However, we're not sitting on our tuchases. We have been blessed to find the ideal partner in JEWCY, the magically branded brainchild of Manhattanites Jon Steingart, Jenny Wiener, Jason Saft and Craig Karpel. They created the JEWCY mystique.

JEWCY, till now, has been known for its T-shirts and underwear, theatrical and media events, rockin' parties and buzzin' shows.

In the coming weeks, you will see the emergence of the new JEWCY website -- focusing on content, commerce and community.

We invite readers and writers, photographers and cartoonists, yeshiva bochers and hip-hop hasids, gay Jews and gray Jews, wannabe Jews and been-there-done-that Jews to be part of the new JEWCY magazine and, naturally to contribute to our all new JEWCY Bits Blog.

In the meantime, we invite you to send us your comments and suggestions for the new and expanding JEWCY.

We invite the families of the happy newlyweds to shmooze and kibitz together. Nu, at least wish them Mazal Tov on the Shidduch!!
