Matisyahu gets passed on Grammys
Hasidic reggae superstar Matisyahu Miller gets passed up at the Grammys last night. The Lubavitcher Reggae Mon had been nominated for his album 'Youth' and had been complimented by Ziggy Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, as being the real deal and a great reggae talent. Ziggy walked off with the Grammy for his album 'Love Is My Religion'. Do I smell anti-Semitism here?

Comments:
chukas hagoyim! he shouldn't be at the grammys in the first place. he shouldn't be copying goyish style music?(rap is music?) either, for that matter.
MAtisyahu steals black people, sings in a jamacian accenteven though he is a baal teshuvah. the guy has been fake since 5 years ago when he first became a chasid.
Rgarding what a reader wrote about "chukas hagoyim!", it is known that many great chassidic Rebbes incorporated gentile music in their most holiest songs, in order to be 'Maaleh the Nitzozs'. One example would be, the song "Solah Kokosh".
"many great chassidic Rebbes incorporated gentile music in their most holiest songs" one would be "Solah Kokosh". and another one would be????????
Ok matisyahu has "goish style" music but m.b.d's Yidden, lipa's lion-king remix, and many more "jewish songs" are all ok.
Matis rocks, his music rocks, and he doesnt need the Grammys to proove it- Ziggy said himself that hes "the real deal..." so what more do we need to proove here...??
there's a cma -country music award show,so why not have a jma-jewish music award show at say the continental arena for jews to recognize jewish music eventually?
