Rabbi Balkany defends Yudi Kolko
In an interview last night on the Zev Brenner radio show Rabbi Balkany came to the defense of accused child predator Yudi Kolko. Balkany said that we should not assume that the charges against Kolko will ultimately stick and that he will end up in prison. He relayed how he too had been accused of wrongdoing on a grand scale and had never been jailed. I guess Rabbi Balkany forgot about the deal that he was forced to make to avoid jail time. Either way, I wonder if Torah Temimah will be hiring Rabbi Balkany any time soon.

He did not defend him, All he said was that they should not publicize the story until all the facts have been proven.
birds of a feather. balkany knows good and well that just because one is found not guilty doesn't mean he is innocent.
Yes a boy committed suicide in Kiryas Joel using an electric saw, the case has been completely hushed up. Almost nothing is known about it.
It is just wishful thinking.
And why would Kolko go to Monroe to kill himself? Better he should do it in Brooklyn or Liberty where he killed all those kids.

Sure he defended him. He defended him several times on the show and plainly said that Kolko is great, blah, blah blah and he doesn't believe the accusers who in his opinion are driven by money.

Perhaps he has some expertise in what people will do when they are driven by money.

Right. Everyone who needs a few bucks goes to court claiming that his yeshiva katana rebbe played praticed ping pong on him in an old plymouth. aha. Then why do I keep seeing people getting busted for real estate and stock fixing schemes?
And why aren't all the rabbeim in Brooklyn being accused of similar things by a long list of talmidim over thirty years?
Will Kolko be on the air next week defending Balkany and claim that the people who accused him of stealing were only motivated by the drive for sex with Balkany?

our communities would be much better off without the crimes of either of these two men. both are responsible for causing harm to many jews and much chillul hashem. yet they both hide behind the banner of RABBI.
