An open letter from a Lubavitcher about the Meshichist issue

To my fellow Lubavitchers who actually care about 300 years of Toras Hachassidus, Yiras Shomayim and Emes. Please stop defending these 'Taliban Jihadists'. They are dead wrong and they are single-handedly responsible for shlepping our Rebbe in the mud.
On Gimmel Tammuz the day when the Rebbe ascends b'ginzie miromimim, these quacks have the chutzpa to pull off such a stunt, it's just heartbreaking.
The fault is ours, the reason Lubavitch's holy name is so tarnished is because we refuse to act. Like dear caught in the headlights we are disgusted when we see the antics of the 'Tzvatim' but we refuse to act. Our Rabbonim, mashpiyim and leaders hide their head in the sand and pretend that when we get criticism for this "they always hated Chabad". WHAT GARBAGE!!
What do you expect frummeh, erlicheh Yidden to say when they see these vans of destruction rolling through their neighborhoods blasting their music? How do you expect them to react?
I am sorry but I think the outrage towards us is justified. We posses a sick group in our midst who listen to no one, b'davka perpetuate fights and dissent and cause a huge Chilul Hashem to put it lightly. A sick limb needs to be treated and if it's untreatable sometimes an amputation is in order.
Many of my fellow Lubavitchers are going to get very angry at what I am saying. "Why wash our dirty laundry in public? Why bash fellow Chassidim?" The answer is they really have nothing to do with my Lubavitch. FINISHED. My grandfather didn't need to sit in Siberia for five years for teaching an illegal Cheder in Belarus to see his beloved Lubavitch sink to such garbage. The mesiras nefesh of 7 heiligeh Rebbeim didn't need to disintegrate because of the actions of a bunch of Johnny-come-lately baaley teshuvos who know better then everyone else what Hakodosh Boruch Hu REALLY wants.
Wake up and smell the coffee. This is our mess, our Frankenstein; if we don't deal with it then the blame lies with us.
To all other non-Lubavitcher Yidden: Look, this is a group of loonies, to say they are tiny would be a lie. In Eretz Yisroel they have gained popularity and have attracted many to their stupidity. The good news is that here in USA they have turned most people off from their message and most American Bochrim and Yungerleit want nothing to do with them. The rift has grown and the divide is stronger each and every year. From me personally, I can only offer my apologize even though I had nothing to do with their junk I feel somewhat responsible. Maybe I should have slashed their tires or something but that's not really who I am. They sicken me, my family and the majority of my friends. Trust me please, WE DON'T LIKE THEM AT ALL.
So again, sorry. Maybe some of you can offer some constructive suggestions how we can rid ourselves of this plague. Honestly it seems like we are incapable of dealing with this in-house.
Let's end this off on a positive note. Let us each add in our Avodah to the Aibishter, whether it been in Limmud Hatorah, Gmilus Chassodim or Tefilah. May the Ribbono Shel Olom see our sincerity and send us Moshiach Tzidkeinu and grant us the Geulo HOAMITIS ve'hashleimus immediately and rid us of this nightmare.

At the moment the Lubab school system teaches this nonsense to all the kids froom kindergarten on up.
If the other Lubavitchers who don't believe this nonsense were to keep their kids out maybe that would help,but they are afraid that "es vet shaten tzum shidduch".

If you go to 770 (Beis Moshiach), you will see that the banner proclaiming this, in addition to the psak din with over 200 rabbinical signatures, are proudly displayed. The people leading the singing of Yechi with the Moshiach degel at the end of davenning are hardly "johnny-come-lately" baltshuvas. This is the most productive post on any blog that I have read in a long time. As a Lubavitcher who is ashamed to see the yechniks causing such hatred from other groups towards the rest of us this post put my thoughts into word. This is not what the Rebbe would have wanted, and those who think that it is should stop trying to convince themselves that. For every proof that you can show that says the Rebbe "told" us he was moshiach, there is another that shows that he despised such talk. He was a heilige Rebbe and a ohev yisroel beyond words. May his lifes goal of encouraging and inspiring us to bring moshiach be realized "b'mehaira mamash!" Zechuso Yagen Aleinu.

I've been many places on the web, bringing the message that the meshichist nonsense is a poison.
The only correction I would have for his statement is that some of the Yechi-niks are FFBs and some of the "mainstream" chabadniks are baalei teshuvah.
Needless to say, I am limited in which yeshivas I can send my sons to, since I want to avoid the nonsense. I am limited in my older sons' shidduch choices. Thank G-d, it is not to the point that I can no longer accept their hashgocho, but, it may get to that point (chas vesholem).

The sad part is these people think they are making the Rebbe look good, get more respect however on the contrary they make Lubavitch as well as the Rebbe look like one big "Busha" It is one thing to be a "mishichist" in ones heart yet another to post it all over New York. Calling any Bal T'shuva a "johnny come lately" is clearly a issur min hatorah whether you agree with them or not. I would think you would learn from this past weeks parsha and the mei mereva the punishment for insulting a group of yidden (even if they are wrong).
You can call their belief in the rebbe being the mosiach kefirah without insulting their choice of giving up their previous lives to become frum.

As a fellow lubavitcher I just wanted to say thanks for telling it like it is. It's sadly just the loudest people that do this, the rest of us just want to go about ourlives without having to fist fight some nut in a dirty black hat and a yellow flag coming out of jacket.
They do teach it in some schools, but it isn't as bad as it used to be. baruch Hashem a lot of normal teachers have come through the system and are now NOT allowing that junk in their classes. It really depends on the class you get and the teacher that leads it.
Incidentally, I've come to learn that many of todays youth dont take the Yechi stuff seriously. Most kids treat it like a joke and the 6th, 7th, 8th,9th grade boys and girls classes actually consider the yechi'nicks weird and they stay away from them. Kids whose parents are the nuttiest and loudest are shunned at many schools.
I wouldn't worry too much, these people will get watered out in the next ten years.

That letter is such crap no lubavitcher would ever write such a thing, it was probably written by chaptzem to cause fights. There are more then 2 sides in lubavitch, even the people who do not believe the rebbe is still alive still believe he is moshiach. Look in 770 there is a big banner proclaiming yechi adonainu... that poster was put up while the rebbe was still alive and the rebbe himself gave his haskamah to it. No matter what side a lubavitcher is on they all hold of yechi but to different extents. There are some great people who do things without any reason but that doesn't mean you can knock them like that. Whoever wrote that letter is on his own side of his own scale and should do some more research before he writes such stupid things. The mishechits are not only in israel, 3/4 of crown heights are like that.
"Zalman" if you are so proud to be the protected of your fellow Lubavitchers give your full name why hide behind a fake name? I think becuse you are not a Lubavitcher you are just trying to stir the pot. geta life! If you want to belive that the Rebbe is moshiach then go ahead and believe that. But can't you realize that by proclaiming it all over town you are creating a huge chillul Hashem and chillul Lubavitch? Do you know how much it hurts to go to school and have another girl tell you that all Lubavitchers are crazy because her perception of us comes from the actions of crazy tsfatis? Why do you need to proclaim your belief that the Rebbe is moshiach on your yarmulkes, flags, pins, and banners? If only all of those things would instead say "ani maamin be'emunah sh'leimah be'vias hamoshiach" then for sure moshiach would have come already! Lets put all our energy into bringing moshiach and then when he comes, may it be now, we can worry about who it actually ended up being.
