N.Y. Rabbi Accused Of Sex With Minor
A New York rabbi was arrested early Monday on federal charges involving sexual abuse of a minor.
Rabbi Israel Weingarten was arrested by FBI agents at his Rockland County home in Monsey, N.Y. and is expected to appear in federal court in Brooklyn later today, law enforcement sources said.
Weingarten is named in a five-count federal indictment obtained by the US Attorney's office in the Eastern District of New York following an investigation by the FBI, sources said.
Weingarten could face life in prison if he is convicted of the charges contained in the indictment, sources said.
More details about the indictment and investigation are expected to be released later today by the US Attorney's office in Brooklyn.

If you read the court papers you'll see that he had sex with his daughter and possibly others. Also, he was a rebbe of his own yeshiva in Antwerp and he was a rebbe in a yeshiva in Monroe and in YESHIVAS TORAH TEMIMAH. Torah temmimah strike two!

Weingarten is screwed because now the Feds are after him and Uncle Same don't take payola like the local creeps like Chuckie Hynes, the corrupt Brooklyn D.A. In other words, his kehila won't be able to buy him his freedom like the other pedophiles that roam around without ankle bracelets. This is a Federal indictment, and it's a whole other ballgame, probably because he was using the internet in the commission of his crimes. Too bad he can't cry "anti-semitism". Boo Hoo Hoo.

Its most probably federal case because he crossed state lines when committing these horific acts. That is probably the only way that these guys will get the justice they deserve. If the case becomes federal. Otherwise, it is just joke. I would be shocked if this guy ever sees the light of day again.
