Just who is Solomon Dwek?
Once a wunderkind in the real estate world, Solomon Dwek, 36, of Ocean Township has shown many sides since his arrest on bank fraud charges in 2006. He is the central witness in the FBI's arrest of 44 politicians, rabbis and others in a sweeping corruption and money-laundering probe. Below is a brief summary of Dwek's life:
Dwek has several children and is the son of Rabbi Isaac and Raizel Dwek, founders of the Deal Yeshiva, a religious school in Ocean Township.
Prior to 2006, he was hailed by many as a pillar of the close-knit Sephardic Jewish community in Deal and Ocean Township. He often lent money to needy families and students, paid medical bills of strangers and contributed to a number of hospitals and charities.
In 2006, Dwek was an owner or a principal in companies that controlled 350 properties worth more than $300 million. Most of the properties are in Monmouth and Ocean counties. But he was running out of cash. From August 2005 to May 2006, Dwek obtained $179 million in loans, including high-interest, short-term notes, to keep his empire afloat.
April 24, 2006: He is accused of depositing a phony $25.2 million check at the PNC Bank drive-through in Eatontown, then transferring most of the money to other accounts, leaving the bank $21 million short.
May 3, 2006: On a request from PNC, a Superior Court judge freezes Dwek's assets. His real estate empire, heavily mired in debt, begins to fall apart.
May 11, 2006: Arrested on bank fraud charges.
August, 2006: An Asbury Park Press investigation uncovers a number of false signatures on deeds and mortgages sold or bought by Dwek. The Press also found that Dwek bought parcels worth $3.9 million from his parents' yeshiva for just $3.
Feb. 9, 2007: Dwek's creditors force him into bankruptcy court.
Apparently in 2007, Dwek agrees to work with the FBI to help uncover money laundering and bribery schemes. He worked as a cooperating witness for two years, according to sources and court documents.
July 23, 2009: The FBI charged 44 in a massive bribery and money-laundering scheme. The common link is Dwek, according to sources. Those arrested include Assemblymen Daniel Van Pelt, 44, R-Ocean, and L. Harvey Smith, 60, D-Hudson; and Lakewood housing inspector Jeffrey Williamson, 57, all on bribery charges.
Also arrested were rabbis from Dwek's Sephardic community: Eliahu Ben Haim, 58, of Long Branch; and Edmund Nahum, 56, of Deal; and Saul Kassin, 87, of Brooklyn, N.Y., regarded as the spiritual head of the Sephardic community in the United States. All three are charged with money laundering.
Dwek remains free on bail. Although he was arrested three years ago, he has not been indicted.

Solomon Dwek is a rat. A slimy rat who entrapped these unsuspecting victims so that he can attain a get-out-of-jail free card. What a disgrace! Not to say that wrong wasn't done by the other parties. Indeed they shouldn't have been doing these unlawful and downright illegal activities. That said, I wonder what Mr. Dwek or shall I say Mr. Drek was thinking? Who does he think will want to know him after this whole embarrassing debacle? Who does he think will want to be meshadich with his children? He ruined himself and in the process advertised the most infamous chillel hashem ever to be broadcast to the entire world.
Mr. Drek: Enjoy Olam Hazeh because your going to hell.
May the righteous and ehrilcheh yidden, that I do believe still exist in this world, strive to accomplish parnassah v'hotzlochah via truthful ways as hard as we all know it sometimes can be. After all, when we all pass on and enter olam ha'emes the first question we will be asked is if we dealt with business affairs honestly. It's tough, but we are held to a different standard then the rest of the world weather we like it or not.

As long as someone has money, their children will have shidduchim.
Just like in the Gentile world. Money and looks count.

Unfortunately the statement "As long as someone has money, their children will have shidduchim.", is true indeed.
BUT- Sefardim are very caring and protective of one another. I hope some Sefardi doesnt kill him, or maybe.................

dont be so quick to judge others. do u want god looking in your closets and backyards and digging up old dirty laundry? dont judge if you dont want others and god judgung you
ITS true that you get judged by what you do no matter if someone enticed you to do it thats why ADAM HARISHON was judged. and its also true that if you try to entice someone to do something wrong, you WILL GET WHAT THE SNAKE GOT......
What an excuse for a life.
The previous post may sound stupid but is so true. "dis pissa dwek" should be excomunicated. What a way to earn freedom from a jail term.

Solomon Drek is a low life. He is a chicken s**t who commited crimes forgery, stealing, cheating and so on. Then is afraid to go to jail so sets up an 87 year old Rabbi to possibly go to jail for the crimes that sc*m bag commited and is afraid do the time for what he did. He stole from his own family. For some one who is so religious to do what he did and not go to jail is unbelievable. He will rot in hell and nobdy will even care not even his own wife & kids, he ruined their lives as well as his, who in the community will want to marry any of his kids.
Why don't most of you go back to school and learn how to spell a persons name right. It's Dwek. Not Dreck or Dweck or anything else close to that. Why so upset people? If you're not a crook in your heart then no one can come by and make you a victum of anything. Stop blaming Solomon for taking advantage of these crooks. Jews are one of the largst holy people in the world. They should act accordingly. All these people who are to represent the people breaking the laws should get it up the rear for screwing us all. I don't no about you guy's but life is really hard lately but if I was going to break a law, it would be my decision. I wouldn't go crying over being set up by Solomon. Another thing. Jewish people. The world is watching how you handle this. Show no mercy and you don't get no mercy. If you show mercy, you will be shone mercy. Rabbi Dwek, you should really be ashamed of yourself. How can you turn your back on your own son and claim to be a God ordained Rabbi. SHAME ON YOU AND ALL THE SO-CALLED-GOD FEARING JEWS WHO JUDGE AND NEED TO LOOK AT THEMSELF'S. Another thing. If the FBI came to me and said WE ARE GOING AFTER YOUR FAMILY IF YOU DON"T HELP US. I might play ball myself. It's just a shamr that he does that to protect the very people who are screwing him now. Father, Mother, Wife. All of you should get what you have coming to you to. If father was so concerned then how did he he sell Solomon a $3,000,000.00 property for $ 3.00? Give me a break father
