Chaptzem Exclusive: Hasidic Williamsburg Man 30's Seriously Injured in Hit and Run - PD Investigating for Possible Hate Crime
Early this morning a Hasidic Williamsburg yingerman in his 30's was run over by a driver who fled the scene. The yingerman was crossing the street on Bedford Avenue when, according to witnesses, he was hit by a car and flung across the street. Witnesses reported that the driver of the vehicle did not stop but rather sped away from the scene. The yingerman was taken to Bellevue Hospital with serious head injuries. The yingerman is currently in critical but stable condition.
According to sources, Police are investigating the hit and run accident and are trying to determine whether this was a hate crime.
