Pashkeville against Dicci clothing store in Boro-Park

Comments:
According to this letter the rabonim came to him to ask him to stop . Who are these rabonim and why arent thier names on this letter??

If a rov can't sign his name thne the letter is a worthless piece of paper.

plus, its not in english!
I cant bother trying to read it....

to anon February 19, 2008 9:38 AM and February 19, 2008 9:51 AM

the 2 of you make excellent points.

1- I am just assuming that thery didnt add their names because they might be scared or retaliation.

2- if this is such a serious issue like they make it sound why did it take so long for this to come out and why are these rabonim wearing a bekeshe from G&G????

Hit them in the pocket. The owners of Dicci own G&G Clothing. Do not buy by G&G, they have plenty of competition.

Can you (or someone else) please provide a translation for those of us who don't understand Yiddish?

Thanks,

The Wolf

The Rabonim did not add their names not because they might be scare of retaliation since if that is the case then you are not a Rebbe. A Rebbe is suppose to be someone that believes in what he says and sticks up for whats right no matter what the consequence might be. It is quiet obvious that it is not coming from the Rabonim but rather from their competitors since Dicci sells beautiful clothing at reasonable prices.

can anyone tell whats wrong with this store? maybe the paper is b-s

reasonable prices? that means 3000 dollar coat is reasonable prices.

Wait, you missed the bottom of the translation. Is says: "To stop this filth on our very own streets please by a raffle ticket. One ticket for $50, three tickets for $100. You could win a diamond or a fur coat.

go back to willy

a lady buys to her size a long lady needs a long dress/coat and a short lady needs a short dress/coat and the style in manhattan is short dress for long lady so what does the short lady wear? is he forcing ladies to buy????"??

I am not from Brooklyn so I don't know what all this tumult about a ladies dress store is about. There are dress stores in my town (a frum town)with clothing shown in the windows and no one is making a fuss about them. Maybe the clothes are bei ng shown on manekins and that is the problem. If the clothes would be arranged in the window without being on womenlike figures, would that make a difference?

who is the filth. I passed the store and see nothing wrong. Are their coats more expensive then S & W. Is their dress shorter then Le bon are their tops more cut out then fashion plaza. THE ANSWER IS NO. However we suffer from some people who have their one and only job, which is to push a babby carrige all day while their wife is at work.
some of these few, felt left out. While their brothers who actualy show up in kollell found bugs in the water, spinach, strWBERRYS and worms in the cellary, they feel left out, so they came up with this thing, due to jelousy. Wake up.

Please stop filth in the street. The sanitation Department had fun giving tickets on friday, for having a dirty sidewalk. please stop the filth in the street. As far as I know the only one putting filth in the street are the few people who throw these papers. They are Ganavim, and caused a loss of money to all of us who got tickets.

This pashkeville comes from the Narisher Rebbe.

By the way, a big stink is underway in Williamsburg because jacaddi's opening of their new store in the new wallabout/Brull mall.

Maybe we should put out a paper against the so called rabbais who are afraid to put their money where their mouth is

SHOP AT NOVELLA BETTER PRICES AND BETTER QUALITY

People who believe that there is indeed a bashefer of this world which he chose "US" as his kids & sees to take care of us with health & wealth etc. he is asking us to please keep the TORAH ! & asking us to please try to live up a higher standard of life , feel that this style of a store should please appeal to the people which live that standard

I guess some ra"bias" were paid off by the competition

Let me see if I get this straight. Yid, a baal tzedkah opens up a fur store on a busy commercial strip-13th avenue. Someone claiming to be a rav has a problem with a hard working yid who is a baal tzedkah.

im suprised that the competition who paye of these rabbis didnt advertise on the bottom of the flyer

If people would think of themselves as good enough, without needing materialistic things to prove we are OK, nobody would shop to impress others who are only into themselves anyway. There would not be a need for all the extra stuff. The extra time and money could then be used to help others in need. By doing that, we would really be able to feel good about ourselves
