'Racheim' Like You've Never Heard - Or Seen - It

Comments:
weird where did it take place? are the gedolim going to ban it shows like these

I like it actually... and frankly, from the audience, they are not going to give two potatoes what the gedolim think.

now that is hot!screw lipa

Since Obama is now President it's okay!!

I like it.. It's pretty cool

Am I wrong or is there, especially in the front sections, separate seating for men and women

Best version ever!

where did u find this???(Obviously on you tube..but how?)

did u notice separate seating???!!!!

I would guess that this was a wedding in the Carribbean or Mexico over Winter Vacation

The melody is a "real" Jewish melody. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89RFocQV4Co&feature=related

I see no reason to ban it. They are men, so no Kol Ishah issues, they said "hashem", so no issues of using the name in vain. There is no indication that these singers aren't Jewish.

This is from a wedding. It's almost like in pre-war Hungary where most of the frum weddings used to have gypsy musicians. Gewaldik.

Who are these guys?

More importantly, how can I book them for my wedding?

wow this is great music and they pronociation is of the "Ches" is perfect.

What are they going to think of
next?

Actualy it's a bat mitzvah, and the contact info is written in the description in french. You can use google translate to translate it to english.

"Gefilte Fish," I don't need Google to translate but I do need the words. There are no comments at YouTube in any language indicating who this group is or where to get more information about them.

If you know, please speak up.

The name of the group is Gospel Hebreux

The name of the group comes up in the Description section of the video (on the upper right) not in the Comments section.

That said, the poster is a bit farblundget in his French. Why this is, I don't know. Young people seem to be bad at grammar all over the internet.

The key paragraph says the following:

"A vocal ensemble based on the interpretation of Hebrew traditionals in the style of Gospel/Negro spirtuals."

I sent an e-mail to the poster of the video asking him a few questions, including if the singers are, by chance, unzer metschen, and I'll let Chaptzem know what he says, if I get a reply.

A kosher chazer fiis.'nuff said.

This is possibly the greatest video ever to appear on YouTube....thank you so much for posting it!

Actually, I dug a little further about this video, because I was totally knocked over by it. These guys really convey the message. It seems that they are French, and the two lead singers are called "Hazkani Voices" (the other singers aren't necessarily permanent members of the band). They have a myspace page under Hazkani that says they're working on a CD. It does not appear that they are Jewish, but so what. Their Hebrew is beautiful (better then a lot of bochurim), they use Hashem's name properly. I hope that it will be a big success!
