MetroCard machines now have Yiddish language
Now if you only speak Yiddish several MetroCard vending machines will be able to accommodate you. Some machines in Boro-Park and Williamsburg Brooklyn are programmed to display buying instructions in Yiddish. Local politicians are hoping to add some more important Yiddish features in the near future. Some of the more vital features are having the machine display 'sof zman krias shema' and being able to donate to 'hacnosas kallah' via the vending machine. The MTA says they still need some time to access the situation and decide whether these features are actually necessary.
