Rioting on 16th Avenue and 45th Street in Boro-Park
A man driving on 16th Avenue was pulled over by Police for driving while talking on his cell phone. While the Police Officer was writing the ticket the man got out of his car. The Police did not realize him getting out and was taken aback when he saw him outside and jumped at him and began to beat him. Seeing what happened, crowds of people began to gather in the street. When the crowd became large and noisy the Police took off and disappeared. Fires were being lit in the streets and total chaos broke out. The Fire Department was called to the scene. When they arrived they were blocked by people and were not allowed to enter the street. Members of the press quickly surged to Boro-Park and were interviewing people that were at the scene. I guess we'll all see now how successful this upstanding was by how bad the upcoming ticket blitz will be.

Comments:
I expect a full blow by blow account of the incident and a full list of all our patriots who got arrested for the cause. Also, who set the most fires? Did people dump their chametz while the fires were burning?
It's about time people who talk on cell phones when driving especially 80 year old people who cant drive even with 2 hands are stopped and ticketed. Since when is breaking the law permissible?
i'd rather some idiot get a ticket for talking on the cell or not wearing a seatbelt than someone's kid get killed. give me a break. it's a sad day for the jewish community when we have our priorities messed up.
great. some "yeshiva buchurs" who spend their time learning Torah all day (yeah right, more like wasting time and milking the government for food stamps and medicaid) haven't learned a thing, and the second they have off, have managed to pretty much ruin all the hard work this community has put in into improving relations with the police. The nypd has been more than accomodating and respectful of our community and this has manged to ruin everything. this is a disgrace.
A disgrace to our community? It's about time that our community will make it know that we will not tolerate police abuse.
I can't begin to tell you stories of police being rude to people, cursing out jews, giving tickets wrongly, etc.
Our community is a law abiding community, and we should be treated as such.
What is only sad is that there wasn't a similar uproar when Gideon Busch was shot. I can only assume the community was too shocked to react.

when Gideon Busch was murdered by the NYPD there also were many people out protesting until the (so called) community leaders (Reider, Ausfresser)showed up and told everyone to leave and that they will take care of it
Don't put your hopes in the so called leader

How is it police abuse to give out a ticket to some careless JERK who talks on the cellphone while driving almost running over a mother with her carriage or old lady doing pesach shopping? You have your priorities screwed up. I've seen how some people in our community react when they are pulled over by the police, they are undeniably chutzpadik and rude. Then they get a ticket and cry anti-semitism. What chutzpah. I hope those people who started the fires are arrested and go through the system. They are a black eye on klal yisroel and have caused a huge chillel hashem.
It seems you have forgotten that you are in Golus and don't have any rights. The constiution guarantees citizens basic rights, they don't include not being treated rudely or receiving a well earned ticket even if it was 'for only a minute'.
Stop thinking like a goy and start acting like a yid. Show some hakaros hatov for what this country, state, city and local officials grant you. Show hakaros hatov to Hashem for making it so cushy for you that you think you are actually entitled to something. The demonstration tonight was a big tantrum thrown by a spoiled child. Watch out Totty doesn't put you in your proper place.

It was like an alternate version of the Chosen where all the wannabe rebbes smoked "wet" or cig's dipped in pcp for the uninformed. Rumor has it that these unemployed idiots spend their free time driving out to Jersey and begging for money from door to door.
that was a pathetic excuse for a riot. that is why little children shouldn't play with matches. Didn't they teach you that in the schule?
