R' Mordche Dovid Unger buys Balkany's and Temple
R' Mordche Dovid Unger has bought off the long troubled Balkany building and adjacent landmark Temple at the corner for $14 Million. The property formerly belonged to a Satmare Dayin who took sides in the Stamar fight (obviously the wrong side) and was unable to handle the property, especially because the Temple has landmark status and can't be knocked down and built over. R' Mordche Dovid plans to make his main Shul and base operations over there.

Good, so now maybe Ungar can open his own reform temple, like emanual was until now, and leave Bobov alone. On the other hand, I really pity Munkatch and Kloisenberg who are really going to see the neighborhood go, now that the "beach boys" and "gupelech" will be sitting on the steps of the "Y" while their Rebbe firs teach and smoke and leer at girls like they do at Bis Yaakov now. So I guess, 45th becomes 49th !

Who was the source of the 14 million? How were they able to come up with 14 million at a time when many are struggling to afford basic neccesities?

Your'e making the mistake, not vice versa. You can honestly build the biggest most spacious beautiful shul in the world, your'e still not in Bobov, not in the Mokom Kodosh where our Heilige Rebbes davened with us and for us all the years. They are going to get the 14 million from R' Bentzion's group. They orignally were offered 25 million to leave so 14m is not a big deal.
Personally I'd pay any price to get rid of this baal machlokes. He has torn apart Bobov, and it's definitely not what his shver wanted.

every Bobover Chusid that I have ever come into contact has been both morally and ethically bankrupt. There aren't any honest Bobover chasidim today. It's all about cheating in business and lining their pockets with ill gotten gains.

It is very interesting!When the holy previous Rebbe Z''L needed money to bail him out from his debts there was no money and all of a sudden his same loyal followers are spending 14 millon dollars?something is very wrong here...obviously Mordechai David and his followers did not care about him only about themselves.

I agree with the last posting. Unger,Rubin and his fellow cronies let the holy Reb Naftali Z'l die a broken man with 20 millon dollars of debts and they did nothing for him, and now all of a sudden they are spending money like water..SHAME ON THEM..SHAME ON UNGER, RUBIN AND THE WHOLE KARTHINER GROUP.....
