Nirbater Rav expected to come out with new letter about Niker of Meal-Mart liver

The Nirbater Rav is planning to publish another letter about the Chelev situation with the Meal-Mart liver.

This is his original letter.

“All meats from Ally Processing - Meal Mart is Geshochten salted etc. under my Hasgocho.

The “Nikkur” (cleaning of Chelev) on every single piece of meat is done under the watchful eye of Mashgichim Mumchim (in the Nikkur process) who are Yirei Hashem. They have learned their trade from other “Minak’rim Mumchim”, who have received Kaballah for Nikkur from Rabbonim, Geonim ZY”A from the previous generation.

The Nikkur process which is used is the exact process which was written by the BADATZ Yerushalayim (Eidah Hachareidis) on Chuf Gimel Cheshvon Tuf Shin Mem Gimmel, and was signed by the Posek Hador, the Minchas Yitzchok ZATZAL, Reb M. A. Freund ZATZAL, and Reb Y. M. Dushinsky ZATZAL.

ALL MEAT IS GLATT KOSHER L’MEHADRIN MIN HAMIHADRIN.

What gets me upset is that this was a blanket letter. Since when is liver salted and soaked? Does'nt he know what he was writing?

Lets's give Alle the benefit of the doubt - it was a mistake of the butcher who treibored the liver, and the Rav Hamachshir does not know what to look for. Problem number 1 was that the non-jewish butcher who treibored the meat has no Kaballa from the gedolim (?)
Problem 2 is that the mashgiach probably never picked up a knife in his life and knows what chelev from the kidneys by looking at a 40 year old picture book on Nikur.

Who do you trust? Rubashkin has time and again embaressed the frum community. Their reputation (outside of Lubavitch who still think that the Rebbe is alive)stinks.

Chaimowitz is even worse. Every time he opens up his mouth, he shoots himself in the foot. His main shoichet, Lazer Jacob has tried to shake down the Star-k and has tried a mud slinging contest in public that was so bad, the Vaad of Flatbush had to assur International Glatt for a period of time.

Who is left? I am starting to lean towards small companies that do everything themselves. These include
Hadas Meats (Belz)
R and W Meats (CRC and Stolin/Carlin))
999 Meats (Real Kosher Meats)
Monsey Glatt

All are small companies that you can speak to the Baal Habos anytime, or the mashgiach T'Midi. They are accountable to their customers and are small enough to watch the businesses carefully.

 

There are a growing number of Yerei Hashem who have altogether stopped eating meat (and some even chicken). The whole situation in Kashrus is a disgrace. Its time to shake down the whole industry. For the rest of us, its either completely safe or (probably) sorry. I'd take the safe side. I think we all have enough things we need to fix, without needing to get upstairs and find out that there is a ton of unkosher things we ate for years upon years. Once the news is out, its also impossible to say that we didn't know anyhting and the Mashgiach takes all the blame---that would just be ignoring the situation.

 

How can we categorize what might have occured with the liver and the Monsey fiasco as similar occurences? One was perpetrated with total knowledge and willingness, while the other was, at worst, a terrible mistake. As long as humans are humans, there will be mistakes. Refraining from eating meat won't help. I'm sure if we look with magnification at our dairy farms, bakeries, restaurants and catering halls, we'd find errors and reliance on more Heterim than we'd like to admit to. Our help in our homes are not supervised 100% of the time, either. Are we as sure as we ought to be, that they NEVER drink milk in meat dishes? Does that mean we should not eat? I don't think Hashem wants us all commiting suicide by living on water only. As recent past history has shown, there are problems with even water.

 

Now that Shmek enters all discussions, it's time to retire from Chaptzem.

 

To all who are coming to the defense of ther Nirbator Rav by saying that he is human and humans make mistakes:
True, humans make mistakes but unfortunately, he thinks he is super-human and has tried to cover up this scandal (and this is a scandal of the highest magnitude) by printing THREE LETTERS in THREE DAYS, each one with miniscule differences just to cover himself on all angles. He had the chutzpa to write in Letter #1 that all is well at ALLE and there is no problem whatsoever. But when the pressure turned up he hac to admit some fault. Then he retracts. Then he gets Belsky on the case. All to gaurd his kavod. I think this is similar to the Monsey-Finkel scandal execpt there is one difference: Finkel was forced to divorce and go into galus of some sorts, but the Nirbator Rav will continue gracing the dais and collecting kavod and cash (from Alle). HASHEM YIRACHEM !!!

 

And to Shmekidik who claims that Nirbator is the best hechsher around - before you make such a statement with such certainty, show your credentials! Who made you the halachik authority! Please show them, then I'll be more than happy to ask you my shailos.

I would like to know how does ou give a hescher on meal mart if rabbi belsky himself addmitted that ou was not at the site for ten years

 

R and W on Fort Hamilton and 55 th street. R' Chaim Weber owns it. He arranges with CRC or Stolin-Carlin for a shoichet and does a schechita.

999 is owned by Rabbi Hill and his 2 sons. The worst that can be said is they are Litvaks. They have the oldest Glatt company in the US. They have been around since before the war and always stayed small so that they can control the company better.

There are other small meat companies. David-Elliot makes chickens that are great, and the Fink Family is as ehrlich as they come.

 

Rabbi Hill's son, Chaim, was killed a few years ago in a bus accident. His brother moved 999 to NJ
