An outstanding job by the traffic agents! 13th is a mess. I wish everyone double parked on 13th Ave would get hammered like that by the meter maids. Maybe they would think twice about illegally double parking!

 

i once got 2 tickets in the same day a few hours apart and i went down to fight it and they took it off

its very simple u go down to downtown brooklyn u see a clerk he sends u to a judge and he will for sure take off 1

 

Double parkers are the scum of the earth.Double parking should be treated as a moving violation with points.

 

Well, as a life long resident of Boro Park, believe me, I wish they would ticket people even faster, it's horrible to have to travel down 13th or 14th aves in one criss-crossing lane because of all the double parking ! I have honestly never double parked or parked by a pump, never blocked a driveway, and have managed to get everything I need done without getting a single ticket ! So you go around the block two more times ! iT'S THE SAME PEOPLE WHO BLOCK DRIVEWAYS AND DOUBLE PARK, WHO ARE HONKING THEIR HORNS OUT AT EVERYONE ELSE ! If you break any law, paying some money, is nothing compared to the time-waste and "Agmas Nefesh" your'e causing everyone else !

 

At this person's levaye, the Rabbonim will be masped him with the words, "He was truly a deserving individual!"

 

The chutzpah that someone could have by parking and blocking the road, does he think he's more important than the rest of the world? A road is meant to travel on, not to park and block at your own will. Such violators (double-double parkers) should be towed.

 

how about a ticket for horn honking? the sec the lights turn green the cars start honking. Don't the drivers know that kids could be sleeping after 7pm? and what about 12 at night? ppl are stam not mentchen. pressing on horn for 30 sec. is not normal

 

as most of us agree that the person is wrong for double parking, I'd like to bring up another issue with this photo, the car has out of state plates. When g-d forbid an accident happens and the insurance company investigates many times they won't pay bec. the driver did a type of insurance fraud by lying about his state.
Furthermore, even if they will pay most of these ppl have minimum coverage, and when my friend got hit by such a driver with out of state plates (although he lives in BKLYN), and was in the hospital fighting for his life for 3 months, he had to fight tooth and nail to get a mere $10,000 plus the lawyer took off a 1/3. In my opinion if the cops can prove (such as through EZPASS) you have out of state plates but really live in state, you car in my opinion should be impounded,

 

He must really be from out of town; not a scretch on his bumper.

 

how come there are no heimishe metermaids

 

So many issues,
1, People that commit parking violations that harm others should get expensive tickets and lots of them. This excludes meter running out because it does not block traffic although it stops others from their turn to park.
2, People that drive in New York with out of State plates should stop because they may end up having insurance that will not pay up when needed.
3, Nt only does the car have not a scretch it also has no scratches. I prefer correct spelling.
4, There are no frum heimish meter maids because it is a hard thankless job and frum people find easier jobs BH. There are loads of desk jobs in social agencies and child care jobs that pay better than meter maids and keep you indoors in bad weather.

 

i think 2 tickets is too much a $115 would teach him the lesson

 

How can you all talk about a fellow Yid like that?? Whoever double parked was obviously doing some kind of Mitzvah or charitable deed. Otherwise a yiddishe person would never do such a thing

double parking and creating a
danger to moving traffic. The

of the car that was blocked. The
blocked car owner made a complaint
that he was unable to move his
car. He tells the traffic officer
he missed an appointment or
something to that effect. So a
second summons was issued.

 

i havent met a person who enevr double parked to get something from a store or from their house as wrong as it is everyone did or does it at least one time

so please enough cursing out a frum person

and i would like to know who never got a ticket in their life for doing something wrong - speeding red lights stop sign school bus pump i mean everyone gets tickets but u dont want 2 for 1 crime

so all of you just shut up

I manage to shop and bank on 13th Avenue several times a week and have never double parked. They are endangering lives and deserve the most severe penalty. I wonder if their ancestors double parked in Hungry.

 

even with dan l'kaf zechus, all of your screens must be better than mine, because i can't tell that the parker was frum. Israeli maybe. So assumming he wasn't frum, then all the defensive arguments go out the window, especially the one that said he was doing a Mitzvah. Before being towed, a ticket must be issued.  Maybe the Boro Parkers could find some empty lots that the city could use as a pound so that they could have roving tow trucks tow all the double parkers.  OH- and how about the side streets on alternate side days? In flatbush the ccops don't let us get away with that shtik!. Imageine the poor guy in BP who has a legal spot on alternate days, needs to get out, is blocked in by a whole block of double parkers, and has to wait  an hour and a half before being able to move the car.and Willy's no better (and they can't stand the food truck?) I was once at a wedding where I had a legal spot. I wanted to go home, it was already 12:10 am, I was forced to DRIVE DOWN THE SIDEWALK, to get out of my space. I guess the blacker and longer the suit, the less menchlichkite there is

 

While on the subject of bad Boro Park Driving habits, what about the Chassidic School Bus drivers that make 5 pick ups on one block, putting on the flashing red lights every time, crossing over the double yellow line and blocking the street 5 times on one block so every House wife can have door to door pick up of her children.Screw the people behind you, they arent in a hurry. In Flatbush there are groups of children on the corners with 1 0r 2 mothers watching them and they pick up 10-15 kids at one time.Why cant this be implemented in Boro Park? No-it is similar to the Double Parking-Screw everyone else, my convienence comes first.

I wrote the 8:26 post, if you read all the posts you will find that I was refering to a previous post (5:36 PM) that used the spelling I was making fun of. I did, however, leave an error in this post so you could recycle your post again.
