School bus with a padlock on its emergency exit

This school bus has a padlock on its emergency exit, thereby endangering the lives of its young passengers in the event of an accident or fire.

Note: Some of the numbers on the license plate were changed and blurred.

Comments:
I hope the person that saw the
padlock called the police and DOT.

it was done to keep the predators out.

This is to keep predators out? Whats more important something chas veshalom happening to these children or "to keep predators out"?! What in the world would they steal from a bus? The seats? Come on.

Why hide whose bus it is? if it was one of my kid's busses i'd want to call the school and complain.

imho the lock was placed there because the school bus kids would attemp to leave from that door as a prank, sometimes even while the bus was moving. This is not an indorsment to lock the door up but rather a different angle of the story.

YOU SHOULD POST WHAT SCHOOL IT IS SO WE SHOULD TAKE OUR KIDS OUT FROM THERE OR NOT PUT IN ANY THANK'S

If the bus was in use it should be called in to the Office of Pupil Transportation, OPT 718 392 8855
They are serious and will correct things with the School Bus Co. very quickly.
I assume they lock it at nighjt and they forgot or are too lazy to remove the lock. I seriously believe the driver should be heavily punished for this, even lose his job.

Where are the blog readers who always scream "Mesirah!" when calling the police is even hinted at?

Then the bus doesn't belong to YTT. We don'tbelieve in doing anything to keep predators out.

I THINK IT BELONGS TO SPINKA SCHOOL

I'm sure that would teach them a lesson :) ha!

AS A MATTER OF FACT IT BELONGS TO BOBOV KRETCHEEN 45 ST

To 4:50 p.m.. No, it does not belong to Bobov Kretcheen 45th Street. You do realize that you did write Bobov, before anything else. Just goes to show who the real Bobov is, since you listed them with the name of Bobov first, and then the other names. It seems that you are just here to vent your jealousy that they are operating a yeshiva with enough boys to get bus service. Relax, they are here to stay and get over it. Just by saying it is them to start machlokes will not get you anywhere !

Try a carpool!

Someone needs to call the police
regarding this matter. It is a
disaster waiting to happen. Who
cares what school uses or may
owns this bus.
Chaptzem if you know the tag
numbers. You know the right thing
to do.....

With lives at stake, it's a little different, no?

At the risk of stating the obvious: a lock on the outside is even worse than a lock on the inside. Why? B/c in, G-d forbid, an emergency, kids may waste precious seconds trying to get out, not knowing that's it impossible. Seconds that could cost them their lives, G-d forbid.

Before calling Police I would call the school & give them 1/2 an hour to remove it & check all their other buses or else!!! Probably an idiot driver put it on after some kids played with the door.
