Letter from sister of Lakewood overdose bochur, Shua Finkelstein, on his fight with drugs
Here is a letter sent to us by someone who identifies herself as Shira Finkelstein, the sister of Lakewood bochur Shua Finkelstein, who overdosed on drugs last week.
Theeres no real explenation to [his relapse]. the craving never leaves. there is no real cure for drug addiction. the closest there is to a cure is finding different outlets, other than drugs, and facing your problems instead of runnig away and looking for escapes. anyway professions say that my brother choked in his sleep and it wasnt even the pills that killed him. my brother was and is an awesome person which i guess is the reason it had to be him nd no other boy.
Shua fought until the very end. when he realised what he had done, he ran for help, and only went to sleep when he thought it waas ok to. and i beleive it was ok for him to. it was just his time to go. god wanted him back. but he had to have taken the pills before hand to teach evrybosy the lesson, that after 8 months of being clean, its still simple to relapse. but if you do, dont just give up. fight till the end like my brother did. he ran for help at the last second. and he won the battle again.

you all freaken retards who are commenting on the spelling and grammar mistakes, STFU!!! it is not your business to correct the people here, maybe the kid is young and she has every right to make mistakes. put yourself in her shoes and have some common sense, you son of a b*...ch!!when you will be in her shoes thats when u could start correcting her but until then take care of you own self. until youre perfect, don't perfect others. instead of giving the girl chizuk youre just making it harder. think about how would you feel if you were the one to lose a loved one?! and when you do well all treat you the way you treat this young girl!

If I may make a hypothesis here, these character traits go together. The boy is a drug addict, which comes from obsessive behavior. That obsessive behavior also drove him to worry about all the abused kids in the world, instead of focusing on building himself up.

I think people who dont know how to spell correctly are more prone to being abused and will end up being drug addicts

Not everyone gets molested, there are other factors such as improper child rearing which IMO is the biggest problem we have out there..parents which just shouldn't be bringing up kids.

all i am going to say is 1st this is a blog ppl use short hand and mispell all the time lord knows i do!!!! 2nd no she is not a drug addict i am a friend, doesnt smoke ciggarettes, doesnt drink, doesnt watch tv... she is 16 and lost her big brother give her a damn break!!! adn i am a recovering addict and i can tell u it is soooooooooooooo hard!!!! not a day goes by that i dont want to use but i keep working on myself so that i dont i face my problems head on today instead of running away. shua did that for 8 months and his demons just caught up with him. its as simple as that

idk which morons are posting spelling mistakes. but you cant actually be human. its like going to a funeral and harassing them about using bad grammar in a eulogy. and to whoever is saying that this kid shouldve worked on himself etc..: shut up. seriously. stop judging people. maybe he should have. maybe not. he made some mistakes. big ones little ones, whether it had a cause or not, it doesnt matter. he died from it. he learned the ultimate lesson. so dont judge the guy. keep your opinions to yourself. just be sad for the guy and his loved ones. because no matter the situation, bottom line is that its sad. very sad. im a bit late on this thread but i just passed by and some of the comments are just simply inhuman.
