City Council candidates Brad Lander and John Heyer at Yad Efrayim
Yad Efrayim a Hassidic hospital volunteer group, which Brad Lander had used a photograph of himself volunteering there for his Boro-Park Mailer had invited John Heyer Wednesday night to package some food baskets.
Brad Lander saw all his hard work campaign in Boro-Park go up in flames in one week by the John Heyer campaign. Brad Lander who got the endorsement of the Teachers Union became a big threat to the community’s overstressed private schools. And of course John Heyer is a Catholic, a man of faith.
Brad Lander showed up a half hour before thinking that it would deter John Heyer from coming… but John Heyer came anyway.

This version of the story is a total fabrication. Brad Lander has been a supporter of Yad Ephraim for months and has been there numerous times volunteering. He went there last night with no staff, no camera, but just to show his good faith. He spent about 45 minutes putting lids on containers and packing boxes. he had no idea Heyer was planing to come. When the heads of the group told him that John Heyer wanted to come, he of course said absolutely he should come. John Heyer showed up when everything was done with and got a nice photo op out of it.

I would not go as far, to say that "the story is a total fabrication", but it is true, that Lander has been coming for at least Four times, in the past few weeks, and that he did not know beforehand that Heyer was coming.
But it does take a politician, to do what he did, and welcome in the other guy at the door.

We are in serious trouble if we bring in a person like lander as our council member.
He supports such terrible organizations and causes. And when he had his son's bris (which was probably performed by his female rabbi) he announced that he was rejecting his sons right of return to the land of Israel. How ridiculous is that?
He might support a good group now but it doesn't make up for all the other garbage he is involved in.

That's right Brad Lander was there
from the beginning to end to prepare
the shabbos meals.
i have pictures where he rolled his sleeves up and closed lids on containers with chicken or chulent.
and packed them into boxes.
plus much more.
