Pinny Ringel considers run for Simcha Felder's City Council seat

As you may have already heard, Councilman Simcha Felder of the 44th District is set to resign his seat as he accepts the position of Deputy Comptroller for the City of New York.
This leaves us with a special election to fill his seat. Our dear friend, long time community advocate, and small business owner, Pinny Ringel, is considering a run for the seat to replace Simcha.
Pinny has served our community for the last eight years as Community Liason to Councilman Simcha Felder. Pinny can always be found at the community board meetings, community police council meetings, and is involved in every political aspect affecting our community. Pinny is a volunteer with Boro Park Shomrim and is the owner of Hi-Tech 2000 on 13th Avenue.
Over the next few days we will be updating you with more information as we get it. For now, sit tight, and get ready to join our campaign to elect New York City's first Chassidshe Councilman.

Is he for real? As the candidate with the least political experience and the least name recognition, he's just going to split the heimeshe vote and get trampled in this race.

Hard to fathom any non-frum person voting for someone named "Pinny" to serve as their elected representative. Sounds too much like "puny" and lacks the sound of a respectable name which, for better or worse, is how most people decide who to vote for. "Ringel," on the other hand, is better. It may remind people of Charles Rangel.

I remember Pinny once came to my house on a shomrim call at 3 in the morning. He cauht someone who was breaking into my garage. Pinny is dedicated to our community.

Dont suport pinny he will allways tell you ,sorry this is just against this rule ,and this is not 100% plus by the books , he will tell you like the worst lawer you could only imagine , that anything and everything you only want to do is against the law , i know him for over 20 years he only needs attention and koved no askon what so ever, no favors no toives , remember noach dear ,20 times worst than that

he might be a good Shomrim volunteer, but this does not give him any educational knowledge or even the proper English needed on this position. We had bigger people with more community experience AND THEY LOST.

i know pinny from his birth and i could tell you that his nice guy look is just a cover for his empty deeds, don't waste your time with him we need representation ,not bluffers and nice balloons,he is a nice guy one on one ,but nothing in him to help others ,he is as good and frum like most of us but no credentials to lead anything serius

He's very cute and friendly but sounds really unprofessional and uneducated on the radio and in person and has absolutely no qualifications for running!! He loves the public eye but he's running for himself-nothing to do with whats right or good for our community. Let him keep his day job!! Just bec u like him as a person doesnt make him a candidate!!!

Pinny is a great guy, but lacks a professional outlook. He may have a degree in something or other from Touro College, that still doesn't give him the knowledge and political navigation that he needs.
David Greenfield on the other hand, has shown he has what it takes to represent the Boro Park Community.

its all the more reason to love him. The above named "gentleman", have used their position to further their own agenda, and not the agenda of the people who had elected them. When Dov Hikind and Noach Dear were both in office, they fought with each other day and night. We need fresh blood, and we need people who will represent the community. That is why I will be voting for David Greenfield.
P.S. Look on the NYC Elections Website, Simcha Felder donated $180 towards David Greenfield's campaign.
